  • Assist physicians and APRNs with patient care, including preparing patients for examination and treatment.
  • Complete and document patient intake, including medical history, medications, and vital signs.
  • Manage medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly sterilized and maintained.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, such as drawing blood samples, applying dressings, and facilitating wound management.
  • Chart patient information accurately and efficiently, using electronic medical records or manual means.
  • Document new prescriptions and refills, as well as complete pre-authorizations for medications and procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care by obtaining necessary information and ensuring smooth handoffs between clinicians.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and patient advocacy, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans and follow-up appointments.
Requirements:
  • Current MA/BLS/CPR certification.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a medical office setting as a medical assistant.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Epic EHR.
  • Knowledge of supply management and infection control.
