Job Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Nursing Assistant to join our team at the GSS SD Scotland Ctr facility in Scotland, SD. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

You will assist residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with meals and snacks
  • Providing housekeeping and laundry services
  • Participating in departmental/organization committees and task forces

As a member of our nursing team, you will be expected to follow infection prevention and control policies and use Personal Protective Equipment properly.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have:

  • A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • A minimum age of 16
  • A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
Qualifications

Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred. You must also satisfactorily complete yearly department specific competency testing and maintain a record of continuing education credits for each year.
