As a Wirer, you'll play a critical role in assembling heater unit product codes and fabricating necessary components according to work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lays out diagrams for electrical installations according to wiring specifications
Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units
Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators
Performs hydro testing per specification
Paints products as necessary
Installs and wires thermostats and other options
Fabricates bussing and solders connections
Tests and adjusts electrical components
Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems
Requirements:
One to three months of related experience and/or training
Certification in ASME brazing procedures (BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Travel & Working Environment:
Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
Employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear
Employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
