About the Position

Maverick Payments is seeking a highly skilled Credit Analyst II to join our Compliance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling credit and financial analysis related duties, ensuring the company's compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct periodic credit reviews within an assigned portfolio, analyzing financial data and creditworthiness to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial analysis and credit risk assessments to management, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and credit policy updates.
  • Analyze merchants with varying risk dependencies and credit quality, identifying potential exposure and developing strategies to minimize losses.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to obtain financial information and documentation necessary for merchant reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, making recommendations for policy updates and procedure adjustments.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Risk Management, Underwriting, and/or Compliance within the acquiring industry.
  • Experience with high-risk payment processing is a must.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other similar products.
  • Familiarity with various tools used for credit analysis and due diligence (e.g., Equifax, Transunion, TIN Check, MATCH, GIACT, Merlink, G2, LS).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
