Position Summary

The role of the Field Supervisor is crucial in overseeing the construction and management of wastewater treatment facilities. This position requires a hands-on leader who will direct field personnel in the assembly and installation of steel plate structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the construction of tanks, installation of equipment, and piping systems to create fully operational wastewater treatment plants.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Field Operations Manager to ensure project alignment and receive guidance.
  • Document all activities accurately and maintain organized records.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 4-6+ employees, contractors, and inspectors, fostering a culture of safety and adherence to company policies.
  • Oversee project timelines and documentation, promptly addressing any discrepancies from project plans.
  • Proactively identify and report any necessary corrections to project management.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and provide training to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Maintain and manage company vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as required.
  • Act as a working supervisor, willing to engage in welding tasks as needed, while upholding the company's ethical standards.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance from all team members regarding safety, quality, and workplace conduct.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in welding with the ability to pass a certified welding test.
  • Familiarity with Operations and Maintenance Procedures.
  • Strong record-keeping skills related to job requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Crane certifications and CDL license are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Formal education in construction or a related field, with a minimum of two years of practical experience or five years in a similar construction role, particularly in tank erection and piping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and hold equipment/tools, with frequent climbing and working at heights.
  • Capability to perform tasks in various positions, including standing, sitting, crouching, or kneeling.
  • Regularly lifting and transporting loads up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequent travel may be required, including overnight stays for projects.
Work Environment

This position primarily involves outdoor work in mechanical, industrial, and electrical settings, often in confined spaces and potentially hazardous conditions. Adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
