Job Description

Dynamic Group Inc is seeking a skilled EDM Specialist to join our team. As an EDM Specialist, you will be responsible for programming and operating sinking EDMs and robotic cells, ensuring high-quality products and meeting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate sinking EDMs and robotic cells.
  • Set up jobs within the robotic cell and sinking EDMs.
  • Monitor machines during burning operations.
  • Schedule workloads and monitor due dates.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Document program changes and complete paperwork.
  • Unload electrodes, deliver parts, and perform job completion activities.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Adhere to Quality System documentation, including the Quality Manual, Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions.

Requirements:

  • Training and experience in mold-making, machine tool technology, or a related technical degree.
  • Skills and knowledge:
    • Ability to read and interpret prints.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle job scheduling demands and pressures.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Sinking EDM machine operation.
    • General office equipment, including computers and calculators.
    • Inspection equipment.
    • System 3R robot workmaster (desirable).

Physical Demands:

  • Sit, stand, move about, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, handle, and touch.
  • Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.
  • Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Exert over 100 pounds of force infrequently.

Working Environment:

  • Normal manufacturing environment.
  • Working with and around mechanical and electrical equipment.

Visual Acuity and Hearing Ability:

As required, with or without accommodation, for reading written documents, measuring instruments, and computer screens, and to perform work.
