Position Overview: The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations and public areas, collaborating closely with the Housekeeping Management Team to uphold brand standards and ensure guest satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

- Uphold the principles of exceptional service in all guest interactions, adhering to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.

- Address guest inquiries and special requests, taking necessary actions to ensure complete satisfaction.

- Clean and maintain assigned rooms or areas following established protocols, which include making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and disposing of waste.

- May involve cleaning kitchen areas, including refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and dishware.

- Inform the supervisor upon completion of service to facilitate room availability for new guests.

- Report any rooms that cannot be serviced according to established guidelines.

- When assigned to laundry duties, oversee laundry supplies and equipment, ensuring they are operational and adequately stocked.

- Operate washing machines and dryers in compliance with hotel standards and manufacturer instructions.

- Inspect soiled linens for damage or stains, fold and store clean linens, and report any damages to the supervisor.

- Strive to minimize waste of supplies and amenities across all housekeeping operations.

- Occasionally assist with deep cleaning initiatives.

- Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor.

- Manage lost and found items in accordance with established protocols.

- Foster teamwork and high-quality service through effective communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.

- Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

- Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.

- Background in the extended stay industry is advantageous.

- Proficiency in English is preferred; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills are preferred.

- Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move throughout the facility.

- Capability to lift, carry, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.

- Regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals is required.

- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
