Job Summary

Ascension Health seeks a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct patient care and support to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities
  • Provide direct patient care, including diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions
  • Observe and record patient behavior and activities
  • Report changes in condition and suggest modifications to treatment plans
  • Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire
  • Certification in Crisis Prevention from the Crisis Prevention Institute preferred
  • Nurse Aide certification from the Illinois Department of Public Health preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
