Mental Health Technician III Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Technician III to join our team at Aurora House in Edmonds, WA. As a Mental Health Technician III, you will play a vital role in providing a combination of social, physical, psychological, vocational, and recreational services to strengthen and enhance the capability of psychiatrically impaired persons.
Job Summary:The Mental Health Technician III will work as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to provide a range of services, including assessment, psychiatric evaluation, medication monitoring, case management, counseling, groups, mental health education, crisis resolution, and skills training regarding activities of daily living. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral science and experience working with psychiatrically impaired adults.
Responsibilities:- Provide a combination of social, physical, psychological, vocational, and recreational services to strengthen and enhance the capability of psychiatrically impaired persons.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to provide a range of services, including assessment, psychiatric evaluation, medication monitoring, case management, counseling, groups, mental health education, crisis resolution, and skills training regarding activities of daily living.
- Assess the consumer's strengths and problem areas and apply appropriate rehabilitation and treatment modalities.
- Utilize electronic medical record system and maintain accurate records.
- BA/BS/BSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field OR AA Degree and 2 years related work experience OR any combination of education and experience totaling at least 4 years.
- Defined knowledge and experience of counseling, rehabilitation, training, and treatment services provided to psychiatrically impaired adults.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification and Food Handlers permit, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License required including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.
