Key Position Details
  • 0.7 FTE (56 hours per 2-week pay period)
  • 8-hour day/evening shifts
  • Will be scheduled Monday-Sunday as a day shift in a 7 on/7 off pattern
  • Every other weekend
  • Holidays and an on-call rotating may be included
Job Description

As an MRI Technologist, you will perform and assist with procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanning under the direction of the radiologist, providing timely and quality services to patients. You will follow Imaging Department policies to maintain a safe, efficient, and economical environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
  2. Identifies patient with two identifiers
  3. Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure
  4. Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs
  5. Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area
  6. Performs procedures with high degree of accuracy
  7. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment
  8. Maintains work knowledge and competence
  9. Gathers all relevant information to assist in interpretation of images
  10. Verifies all imaging has appropriately transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system
  11. Provides accurate clerical function
  12. Uses Excellian (electronic medical record)
  13. Understands the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System
  14. Ensures all documentation is complete post procedure
  15. Communicate with Supervisor and team
  16. Reporting problems, issues or ideas
  17. Provides assistance, ideas and information to support the work of others
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical Training Graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • 0 to 2 years of MRI experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of MRI experience
Licenses/Certifications
  • Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
  • MRI certification with ARRT preferred upon hire
  • BLS Tier - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire
Physical Demands

Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
