About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Driving Instructor to join our team at The Next Street. As a Driving Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching new drivers the skills and knowledge they need to become safe and competent drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach new drivers, both teens and adults, the fundamentals of safe driving practices.
  • Utilize a dual-controlled vehicle to provide personalized instruction and feedback to students.
  • Communicate effectively with students and their parents to provide progress updates and identify areas for improvement.
  • Travel to various locations throughout Massachusetts to provide a comprehensive driver education program.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to meet Massachusetts RMV requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' confidence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality educational program that meets the needs of our students.
Requirements
  • Must be an experienced driver with a strong understanding of safe driving practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Massachusetts driver's license for at least 2 years.
  • Must undergo a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed Massachusetts Professional Driving Instructor.
