Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team at Valmark Financial Group. As a key member of our Financial Planning Team, you will play a critical role in assisting senior team members and Member Office financial professionals with the day-to-day workflow of financial planning cases and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial planning queue by analyzing client facts, modeling cash flows, and developing recommendations using Valmark's proprietary financial planning processes.
  • Assist senior team members with case setup and annual revisions, ensuring accurate and complete information about the products being recommended.
  • Serve as an insurance/annuity carrier liaison for Valmark Member Offices, establishing relationships to thoroughly understand advisor preferences and client needs.
  • Conduct industry research to develop tools, resources, and marketing materials, such as presentations, whitepapers, and videos.
  • Develop a working knowledge of financial planning topics, including retirement planning, estate planning, and insurance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of industry experience; CFP professional or willingness to obtain.
  • FINRA Series 7 or willingness to obtain; Ohio Life and Health Insurance License or willingness to obtain.
Working Conditions

This is a largely sedentary role, with occasional local travel required. The position requires flexibility in working hours, with a 40-hour workweek and typical hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
