Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to road assist calls and repair units by identifying and determining parts requiring replacement and warrantable repairs.
  • Perform diagnostics and non-road assist call repairs as needed.
  • Restock the rapid assist vehicle with tools, parts, tires, and other necessary items.
  • Perform maintenance or repairs to the road assist vehicle as required.
  • Assist with designated in-shop repairs as directed by the supervisor.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
  • 2-4 years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
  • Current CDL license with air brake certification required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems.
Physical Demands

The associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods. They must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms. The associate must be able to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment. They must also be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
