Fire Watcher

We are seeking a Fire Watcher to join our team at PeopleReady Skilled Trades Division. As a Fire Watcher, you will be responsible for monitoring for fire hazards while other employees are working and following the conditions and requirements stated by the Control Room.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor for fire hazards and take immediate action to prevent fires
- Follow the conditions and requirements stated by the Control Room
- Inspect the work area before and during each shift for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids
- Be ready to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at any time
- Perform general labor and janitorial duties, such as sweeping and wiping down railings and equipment, without interfering with Fire Watch/Hole Watch duties
- Maintain a clean-shaven appearance
- Follow directions from the Lead and adhere to task instructions and break schedules
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a hot environment
- Ability to work in foul-smelling conditions
- Not afraid of heights
- Background check and drug screening required
