As a Pediatric Resource Nurse at Tampa General Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients from neonatal to young adult.
Under the guidance of established policies and professional guidelines, you will plan and implement nursing care, document assessments, and identify situations requiring further intervention.
You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient treatments, interventions, and disposition align with existing policies and protocols.
Responsibilities include:
\u2022 Providing further nursing assessment and critical thinking to manage patients presenting complex issues or clinical deterioration
\u2022 Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care
\u2022 Maintaining BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
\u2022 Achieving national certification in critical care, emergency nursing, or pediatric nursing specialty
\u2022 Administering chemotherapy with certification by the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses
Qualifications:
\u2022 Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
\u2022 Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida with a BSN
\u2022 Three years of pediatric experience as a professional nurse, including a minimum of two years in a pediatric critical care and/or hospital emergency department
\u2022 Maintenance of BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
\u2022 Achievement of national certification in critical care, emergency nursing, or pediatric nursing specialty, and certification by the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses to administer chemotherapy within one year of hire
