Respiratory Care Professional

Cleveland Clinic, a world-renowned healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Professional to join our team as a Pulmonary Function Technician. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of respiratory therapy.
About the Role
As a Pulmonary Function Technician, you will be responsible for performing pulmonary function testing according to the latest ATS/ERS standards. This involves conducting quality control data analysis and executing advanced invasive or noninvasive protocols. You will also have opportunities to share educational in-services with staff, advanced practice nurses, and physician assistants.

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in respiratory therapy, with a graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) are also essential. A minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience is required, with preferred qualifications including a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy and Certified or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT / RPFT) credentialing from the NBRC.

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to administer six minute walk tests at a pace of at least 3.0 mph, move K cylinders onto dollies, change gas cylinder regulators with a wrench, and lift boxes up to 25 pounds in weight.
