Job Summary:
As a skilled Surgical Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and timely pathology services to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of human disease. Your expertise will be essential in producing comprehensive pathology reports, supervising laboratory activities, and consulting with clinical physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert pathology services to support diagnosis and treatment of human disease.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive pathology reports, adhering to national standards and internal policies.
  • Lead and direct laboratory activities, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with pathologists and clinical physicians to provide expert consultation and support.
  • Conduct autopsies and microscopic examinations to identify pathologic conditions.
  • Participate in research projects, preparing scientific papers on disease nature, cause, and behavior.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in pathology practice and technique, adapting to laboratory needs.
  • Apply computer-related applications and programs to support laboratory functions.
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and sensitive company data.

Requirements:
  • Medical Degree required.
  • Active license to practice medicine in the state required.
  • Certification in anatomic and clinical pathology required; subspecialties may be necessary depending on scope of duties.
  • National certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as Clinical Laboratory Specialist.
  • Maintain continuing education for certification/licensure and to increase basic knowledge.
