We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing high-quality images for medical interpretation. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all diagnostic radiographic procedures, adhering to state and federal regulations, as well as hospital guidelines.
  • Utilize various equipment, including fluoroscopy, C-arm, tomo, and portable units, to produce optimal images.
  • Assist physicians and radiologists in procedures requiring sterile technique, and prepare and administer radiopaque contrast media as needed.
  • Provide optimum patient care during exams, corroborating patient history with procedure documentation.
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and upkeep, communicating issues to supervisors or maintenance logs.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • An Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or graduation from an AMA-approved program.
  • A valid Medical Radiologic Technologist license from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
