About the Position:

UTHealth Houston is seeking a fellowship-trained stereotactic neurosurgeon to join its vibrant department at all ranks – Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chiefly focus on the surgical treatment of movement disorders
  • Collaborate with movement disorder-certified neurologists with established practices in Parkinson's Disease, Dystonias, Essential tremor, spasticity, and Huntington's disease
  • Develop expertise in the neuromodulation of pain and/or psychiatric illness
  • Engage in resident and fellow instruction in the operating room and at the bedside
  • Emphasize teaching, research, and academic excellence

Requirements:

  • Board-certified neurosurgeon
  • Fellowship-training in stereotactic neurosurgery
  • Proven track record of clinical and research excellence
