Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review intricate journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to uncover trends, variances, and areas for enhancement.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect financial information and aid in business decision-making.
- Support regular and ad-hoc reporting, including internal and client-ready documents, reports, and presentations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accounting standards.
- Mentor and guide junior accountants.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience in real estate accounting or familiarity with JD Edwards E1 is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Experience with data analysis tools and financial modeling.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to build relationships and engage effectively with business partners.
