Qualifications

Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant*Requires in-depth understanding of physical therapy principles, including the rationale behind interventions. This role involves data interpretation.*Basic computer proficiency is necessary.*Familiarity with the regulations pertinent to the specific healthcare environment is essential. Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant Home Health Care*All qualifications listed for the rehabilitation therapy assistant and*Must possess a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. Experience: *Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant: Less than one year of experience in physical therapy.*Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant Home Health Care: Preferred one year of supervised clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings.

*Administers treatment to patients utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of physical capabilities and developmental issues. *Must exhibit knowledge of growth and developmental principles applicable to the patient population served.*Supervises and ensures a thorough rehabilitation program tailored to the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental needs of the patient.*Encourages patient and caregiver autonomy by maximizing resource utilization to foster independence.*Facilitates communication and coordination among various healthcare disciplines involved in patient care. *Aligns efforts with discharge objectives established during initial assessments and throughout the care process. *Acts as an advocate for patients.*Additional responsibilities as assigned.*Work settings may encompass inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and community-based environments.
