Job Overview

Lifeline Connections is a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral health services, specializing in the treatment of substance use and mental health conditions. We are seeking an Inpatient Addiction Medicine Provider to join our team of dedicated professionals.

About the Role

This position plays a critical role in providing medical and diagnostic services to patients with complex needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and creativity in implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

The Inpatient Addiction Medicine Provider will work closely with other members of the treatment team, including nurses, case managers, and residential treatment center staff, to deliver high-quality care and achieve optimal outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain comprehensive histories and physicals of patients entering withdrawal management and develop individualized medical management plans.
  • Review patients' charts, maintain accurate records of allergies, medical problems, mental health history, substance use disorders, and medications.
  • Engage in consultative relationships with medical and mental health providers, nurses, case managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, including point-of-care and blood tests, as necessary.
  • Prescribe medical treatment and medications for mental health and addiction disorders in accordance with training and licensure.
  • Identify patients requiring higher levels of care and refer them to appropriate resources in a timely manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and specialized training to maintain expertise in delivering high-quality care to diverse patient populations.
Requirements
  • Current ARNP, MD, NP, or PA license from the Washington State Department of Health.
  • CPR certification.
