Job Summary

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of common areas and assigned workspaces within the community. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of common areas, including daily emphasis on high-traffic areas.
  • Complete maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Report any notices of deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
  • Operate the laundry room as needed.
  • Report inadequate quantities of cleaning supplies, brooms, mops, buckets, etc. to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
  • Clean office areas as assigned.
  • Dust and clean all window blinds in the facility.
  • Dust all furniture, bookshelves, etc., in the common areas.
  • Use only approved cleaning agents and maintain up-to-date MSDS for all cleaning products.
  • Be willing and able to learn chemical and biohazard guidelines.
  • Keep common area bathrooms clean.
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
  • Prior experience is helpful but not required.
  • Sanitation experience is preferred.
  • Experience with cleaning mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to work the schedule with prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
