Job Type: PRN (Per-Diem) Position

Job Purpose: To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents to determine the most effective treatment plans and interventions.
  • Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans, establishing short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve them.
  • Communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Establish individual resident therapy schedules in collaboration with other team members.
  • Deliver therapy services according to established treatment plans, ensuring proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
  • Oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as needed, ensuring all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Active Occupational Therapy license in the practicing state(s).
  • Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
