About the Role

We are seeking a skilled SQL Server Developer and Report Writer to join our team at SS&C Technologies. As a key member of our software development and risk management department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing database solutions and reports to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop stored procedures, functions, and views in SQL Server to facilitate reporting and data analysis.
  • Create professional-looking enterprise-quality reports using SSRS, including scheduling data-driven subscriptions for delivery via email or to PDF or Excel files.
  • Use templates in SSRS to ensure consistent look and feel of production-quality reports.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses of operational issues and requirements to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, including views, tables, stored procedures, triggers, scalar and table-value functions.
  • Experience working with RDBMS database structures, normalization concepts, indexes, and query optimization concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of SSRS reporting design and structure.
  • Experience working with other reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Power BI, and Tableau is a plus.
  • Knowledge of working with Visual Studio, TFS, and GIT environment with multiple team members.
  • Ability to understand reporting business requirements from business teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
