Position Summary
This role is integral to the execution of the Third Party Risk Assessment Program, which aligns with Early Warning's strategic objectives. The program is designed to ensure that all third parties, including new and existing clients, owner banks, and other external entities, comply with the security, regulatory, and reporting standards set forth by Early Warning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage processes for the third party risk assessment program in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Foster positive relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders to gain insights into third party engagements.
  • Assess the services provided and received to determine appropriate risk classifications.
  • Review contracts with third parties to ensure compliance with Early Warning's security and governance standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of third party risk evaluations.
  • Coordinate responses to customer requests for onsite audits and complete relevant security and compliance questionnaires.
  • Utilize knowledge of security and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, GLBA, FFIEC, NIST) to enhance risk identification and reporting.
  • Evaluate compliance with IT controls by analyzing records and documentation to determine risk ratings.
  • Draft detailed assessments, reviews, and audit reports that outline methodologies, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and control weaknesses in third party engagements.
  • Create impactful reports to communicate security and compliance concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Effectively manage the planning, execution, and review phases of third party assessments.
  • Support the organization's commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Risk, Audit, Information Security, or Assurance.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of information security, risk management, compliance, and governance principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications in information security (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CISA, CTPRP).
  • Comprehensive understanding of banking operations and security measures.
  • Experience with compliance regulations such as OCC, ISO, GLBA, FFIEC, and NIST.
  • Familiarity with various IT security technologies.
  • Experience with Shared Assessments Standard Information Gathering Questionnaire (SIG).
  • Additional relevant education or experience.
Working Conditions
This position is primarily office-based, requiring extensive computer use and prolonged periods of sitting. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of light objects may be necessary. Candidates must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
