Job Summary:

KJ's Market is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Guest Orders: Accurately process guest orders to ensure proper recording of sales and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle Monies and Tender: Accurately handle all monies and tender to ensure proper accounting of all transactions and maintain cash controls.
  • Bag Guest Orders: Properly bag guest orders, place in cart or hand to guest, and follow the company's carryout practices.
  • Work with Team Members: Work well with all team members to grow the community and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Maintain Clean Work Area: Continually maintain a clean and organized work area, including the checkout lanes and surrounding areas.
  • Direct Guest Flow: Direct guest into their lane to maintain guest flow and achieve the Guest Arrival standard of no more than two guests waiting at one lane to checkout.
  • Maintain Cash Controls: Maintain cash controls and procedures to eliminate shrink and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly and Outgoing Personality: Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 15 lbs. constantly, stand for extended periods of time, and bend and lift to load guest orders into cars.
