We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer II to join our team at PatientIQ. As a key member of our data engineering department, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our healthcare data analysis platform.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented data engineer to work on a broad range of projects, from designing and implementing new data pipelines to optimizing existing ones. You will work closely with our data analysts and other teams to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and processing large, complex datasets using tools such as SQL and Python.
  • Migrating client data into PatientIQ's platform per established service level agreements (SLA).
  • Developing rigorous data quality assurance checks throughout the ETL process.
  • Designing, developing, maintaining, and streamlining scalable data pipelines to support healthcare data analysis.
  • Working closely with data analysts to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data pipelines and systems.
  • Collaborating with other teams to integrate data from multiple sources.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL infrastructure in a production setting.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Deep knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, etc.).
  • Experience with Data Warehousing (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and writing reusable and extensible code.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $140,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience.
