Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Maintenance Technician B. In this role, you will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies, and control systems. You will work under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager and will be expected to maintain a high level of technical expertise and adhere to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies, and control systems.
  • Identify and diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools and complete applicable company training programs.
  • Safely provide road service when necessary to ensure that company equipment is returned to operation in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication, and complete other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel powered equipment diagnosis and repair.
  • Ability to perform basic inspections with limited supervision in some of the following heavy truck or automotive systems: suspensions & steering, general engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train, diesel emissions.
  • Valid Driver's License and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus but not required.
