Occupational Therapist Assistant Opportunity in Skilled Nursing

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team at one of our partner Skilled Nursing Facilities located in Silverton, Idaho. This is a permanent, in-person, full-time opportunity with relocation assistance provided depending on location.
Your Role:
You will play a vital part in assisting the Occupational Therapist in providing comprehensive care to patients within the medical environment. Your expertise in implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic activities, and supporting patients in their rehabilitation journey will contribute to improving their functional abilities and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the licensed Occupational Therapist to execute treatment plans designed to enhance patient independence and functional abilities
- Provide direct assistance and aid in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) during therapy sessions to ensure patient comfort and safety
- Conduct exercises under the therapist's guidance to improve motor skills and coordination
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of patient progress and interventions
- Collaborate in assessing home safety and recommending assistive devices
- Educate patients and families on techniques for independence and safety
- Work closely with the therapy team to ensure coordinated care for patients
- Adhere to professional standards and regulations
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a COTA or equivalent in the state where services are provided
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
- Previous experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred
