Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Cardiac Technician to join our team. As a Cardiac Technician, you will be responsible for reading, interpreting, and reporting on 90-second ECG strips in a fast-paced environment. You will also be required to continuously develop clinical knowledge, particularly ECG rhythm interpretation skills.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret 90-second ECG strips
- Develop clinical knowledge, particularly ECG rhythm interpretation skills
- Perform quality assurance of reports provided to medical professionals
- Communicate critical findings to medical professionals verbally and in writing
- Contact patients via telephone to obtain follow-up transmissions
- Adhere to HIPAA Guidelines and Good Clinical Practices
- Maintain compliance with job-specific proficiency requirements
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality metrics
- Minimum 2 years' work experience as a telemetry technician, holter scanner, or other specialty requiring ECG interpretation
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree or 2 years college coursework preferred
- Current CCT certification and/or RN/Paramedic License or ability to be certified within 120 days of hire
- Intermediate to advanced rhythm interpretation skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Knowledge of medical terminology specific to cardiology is helpful
- Intermediate level PC proficiency
