Role Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and identifying issues with manufacturing equipment, particularly Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machines. This role is crucial in maintaining safety standards and ensuring that production goals related to quality and timely delivery are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, reassemble, and test manufacturing or maintenance equipment that is not functioning correctly.
  • Conduct necessary repairs to keep all equipment in optimal operating condition while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform structural modifications to facilities or equipment to meet manufacturing needs.
  • Utilize manufacturer instructions, manuals, and diagrams to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Engage in building maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and conduct tests and adjustments with minimal supervision.
  • Document observations regarding equipment wear, potential failures, and safety concerns during Preventative Maintenance (PM).
  • Experience with CNC machine repair and maintenance is advantageous.
  • Execute PM tasks within designated timeframes while ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of hazardous materials for safe disposal.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical/electrical CNC machine repair; familiarity with Haas or Okuma CNC systems is a plus.
  • Research machine issues using manuals, technical documents, and internal/vendor resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service history and maintenance for predictive maintenance processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Demonstrate excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Collaborate closely with all departments and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Document all modifications made and communicate changes to relevant parties.
  • Utilize the ERP System for documenting actions (electronic logs).
  • Participate in required meetings and training sessions, seeking opportunities to enhance job performance.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs or unexpected events.
  • Proficient in reading and speaking English to engage in safety communications, company meetings, and ongoing training.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
