Job Title: Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting the CFO with financial statement construction, budget generation, and executing various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain overall controls on revenue ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Complete daily banking activities
  • Perform month end close activities
  • Review and process invoices in line with budgets & approval levels
  • Review and process expense reports and corporate credit card activity
  • Prepare schedules and analysis for internal and external audit support
  • Analysis of Budgets vs Actuals
  • Assist with Balance sheet and Profit/Loss reconciliations, analysis and reporting
  • Generate, analyze and distribute relevant financial analysis
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with audit and tax requests
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Ad hoc accounting activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2- 3 years work experience in an Accounting or Finance related role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactively take actions necessary to produce results
  • Generate timely decisions and have sound judgment
  • Build trust internally and externally, and command a professional image
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Detail oriented without losing sight of big picture
  • Good time management to work in a fast paced environment
