Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, as well as compiling stock records of items in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

This individual must have excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask, and possess strong communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about government supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving Functions: Verifying incoming shipments, checking for damaged goods, and preparing records of goods received.
  • Warehouse Management: Storing and retrieving items from stockrooms, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Gather and report information about stock in storage as required.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Military or DLA Distribution experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally heavier items with assistance.
