Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately interpret physician's scanning instructions and administer contrast materials
  • Prepare and operate CT scan equipment and position patients to capture appropriate images
  • Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation
  • Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and documentation
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and in good standing
  • Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting
Physical and Mental Demands:

The ideal candidate will be able to work at a fast pace, prioritize multiple assignments, and respond to numerous requests while maintaining a collaborative and efficient work environment.

The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, and occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs.

The mental demands include problem-solving, decision-making, and exercising self-control and tolerance for stress.

The special demands include minimal sustained direction, self-starting, and self-motivating, with working hours that may exceed eight hours per day.

The personal protective equipment required includes following Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as needed for procedures.
