Job Summary:
- Operates X-ray equipment and performs various mammography-related procedures, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Develops and evaluates film for technical quality, including density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Provides education and support to patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health, promoting awareness and empowerment.
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate records and files, as well as cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed.
- Works under general supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks, including mammography procedures, equipment maintenance, and patient education.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and high-quality diagnostic results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve patient outcomes and department efficiency.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- License/Certifications: Certified Mammography Technologist (M), Certified Radiologic Technologist (R), CRT, California fluoroscopy permit, and BLS under AHA.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform essential physical job requirements.
- Experience: 1 year of recent experience in a hospital setting.
