Job Summary:

ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Finance Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to ensure the company's financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial support for external and government audits, including preparation of financial statements and schedules.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Conduct research and provide guidance on accounting matters.
  • Provide support to other departments on financial transactions and inquiries.
  • Reconcile inventory accounts and review balances.
  • Provide analytical support to the Finance division.
  • Assist in system automation projects to improve financial processes and efficiency.
  • Maintain accounting internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop process improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining cost pools and adhering to Disclosure Statement.
  • Perform monthly inter-company entries and consolidations.
  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely.
  • Stay up-to-date with government contracts and regulations.
  • Perform EAC review and analysis.
  • Participate in special projects as directed by the Director of Financial Reporting, Controller, or CFO.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant government contracts experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Client Accounting Services (CAS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent customer service skills, including positive communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Deltek Costpoint experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate.
  • Public Accounting Experience.
