Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our Wound Care department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer patient care under the direction of a physician and identify and pursue expected patient outcomes in collaboration with the care team.
  • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Organize and prioritize care according to patient needs, consulting with appropriate resources in a timely fashion regarding patients with complex care issues.
  • Collaborate with peers in a clinical operations environment, fostering intra/interdepartmental communication and synthesizing data from complex situations to determine priorities for care.
  • Communicate with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care using cultural competency and active listening, developing relationships that promote patient and family needs.
  • Develop clinical and operational excellence in self and peers through education and training.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience working in a registered nurse role in an acute care / inpatient hospital setting.
  • Wound experience helpful but training can be provided.
  • Electronic documentation Epic experience helpful but not necessary.
