Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Nurse Hustle is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Normal, Illinois.

Job Responsibilities:
-Administer contrast material (when applicable), according to physician's request, by means of existing IV line or by performing venipuncture and placing IV line; recognize and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
-Anticipate set-up and needs for invasive procedures.
-Assist with inventory/supplies.
-Check for correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
-Compile pertinent clinical information pertaining to lab, pathology, etc.
-Administer medication in compliance with scope of practice.
-Document accurately and completely.
-Explain procedure to patient and provide for patient care- including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.
-Perform all essential functions of the Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist.
-Perform on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.
-Required to float to all procedural areas.
-Maintain a clean and neat work area.
-Demonstrate competence in the operation of imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment; Perform basic troubleshooting for this equipment.
Department-Specific Job Functions:
-Able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
-Administer and with hold contrast and treatment as appropriate. -Assess patients for allergies.
-Function as a scrub and monitor technician on a rotating basis during procedures. -Assist physician during interventional procedures.
-Able to take call after 6 months of orientation.

Required Skills & Experience:
-Capacity to learn and retain information regarding patient care and procedures.
-Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accurately.
-Demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
-Manual dexterity to handle small supplies.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 1 year as general radiographer.

Required Education:
-Associate's Degree in Related Field OR -Certificate in Radiologic Technology
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
-ACLS (American Heart Assoc.)
-IEMA Radiography License Illinois
-Radiography (R)(ARRT)

Nurse Hustle Job ID # Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
