Stylist Apprentice

Overview

The Beautiful Group is a leading luxury salon and spa operator with over 600 locations worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Stylist In Training. This 90-day program is designed to identify top talent and integrate an unlicensed, future stylist into the salon workplace, providing valuable insight and training from top stylists in the industry.

• Market and grow the business
• Observe and learn from experienced stylists and managers
• Model exceptional customer service and set the pace for other stylists
• Promote and sell services and retail products
• Answer telephones, stock shelves, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the manager

• Must graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license(s) to perform salon services within or before 90 days of hire-date
• Ability to work in a dynamic salon environment
• Good time management skills, good judgment, and the ability to multi-task
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers, co-workers, and management
• Computer knowledge including point-of-sale systems and data entry
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

• Standing for sustained periods of time
• Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds
• Continuous repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists, and arms
• Continuous grasping and reaching, often above shoulder level
• Ability to be exposed to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services
• Ability to observe guest's hair, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
