We are seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to join our team at Fladger Associates. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating CNC equipment in a low-volume, high-mix environment, including multiple set-ups daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and running machines efficiently and productively.
- Ensuring part quality through visual and hand inspection equipment.
- Interacting directly with leads, engineering, and CNC programmers.
- Maintaining tools, attachments, fixtures, and pieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Reviewing program specifications and blueprints to ensure machine set up and operations meet specification for finished piece dimensions.
Requirements:
- Understanding of CNC programming G-code and Mastercam.
- Math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Able to read and comprehend instructions, including blueprints.
- Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact directly with Management, Engineering & Programming to collaborate on process improvements.
- Able to consistently stand for an entire 8-10 hour shift.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with lean and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of inspection equipment, such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges etc.
- Reliability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
