The School of STEM at Vermont State University is seeking applications for an Adjunct Instructor role within the Department of Construction Management.


The course to be delivered is:
CPM 1031-Residential Construction Systems


This course provides an in-depth exploration of residential building techniques and materials, focusing on wood frame construction for floors, walls, and roofs, as well as foundational concepts in structural soils and concrete foundations.

Key topics include:

  • Stair design
  • Roof rafter construction
  • Fundamentals of estimating
  • Building codes and material takeoff
  • Understanding structural loads


Course Structure:
3 hours of lecture each week.


Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree complemented by relevant experience in construction management. Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level is highly desirable.


Compensation:

Salary will be determined based on the number of credits previously taught, in accordance with the VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
