About the Role

Coldspring is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our project development efforts. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting all projects assigned by our supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Design and produce plans and specifications for building construction, systems, modifications, and repairs.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal support departments and outside resources to develop and facilitate scope, estimates, budgets, schedules, drawings, timeline(s), and installation plans related to assigned projects.
  • Plant and Equipment Layouts: Review and develop plant and equipment layouts to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate quantities and costs of materials, equipment, and labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify, evaluate, develop, and coordinate resolutions for Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Environmental, and Administration.
  • Design and Development: Apply mathematical and scientific principles to design, evaluate, and repair equipment, buildings, products, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Leadership: Provide interim supervisory leadership and consultation as needed, and mentor and provide project management and leadership strategies to engineering staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work as a collaborative team member, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, understanding of manufacturing operations, mechanical knowledge and background, ability to lead and direct people, familiarity with general construction, print reading, and scheduling, excellent design skills, and ability to understand and implement lean manufacturing.
