Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Feel The Advantage. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' communication and swallowing disorders using standardized tests, observations, and patient/family interviews.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, patient goals, and clinical judgment.
  • Therapy Services: Provide evidence-based speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy to patients.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dietitians.
  • Patient Education and Support: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education, support, and strategies for carryover of skills outside of therapy sessions.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research, trends, and best practices in speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Licensed or Eligible for licensure in the state in which practicing.
  • Certification: Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or be completing the ASHA Clinical Fellowship Year requirements.
