Prokatchers is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse for travel assignments in the Medical Surgical specialty.

Compensation: $2,226.00 per week

Standard shift: Days/Nights

Weekly schedule: 3x12

Department: Med/Surg Floor

Role Description:
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with a range of health issues, from simple to complex.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for a designated group of patients.
- Accurately document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; record any changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Gather and monitor physiological data of patients, observing their physiological manifestations and intervening as necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed, and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care.
- Engage with patients and their families to share care plans during hospital stays and at discharge.
- Inform patients and families about hospital procedures.
- Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel as necessary.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Medical Surgical Unit.

Educational Qualifications:
- Required: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum Degree Required: Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Board Approved Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current RN License issued by the relevant State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
