Your Team:

Housing Preservation & Development Technology (HPD Tech) serves as the IT division within HPD. The Office of HPD Tech spearheads the agency's technological transformation, enhancing productivity, reducing manual processes, and accelerating workflow.

HPD Tech focuses on optimizing business processes through core applications to ensure seamless execution. The team empowers decision-makers with reliable, high-quality information to proactively respond to building, neighborhood, and market dynamics.

The Office of HPD Tech comprises seven units: CIO (Chief Information Office), CTO (Chief Technology Office), CPO (Chief Product Office), Budget, Enterprise Architecture, Planning & Compliance, and Information Security.


Your Contribution:

As a .NET Specialist within the HPD Tech Division, your responsibilities will include:

  • Translating high-level requirements and business specifications into .NET enterprise architecture and data models.
  • Implementing best practices and architectural guidelines in line with industry standards and HPD Tech directives.
  • Designing applications in compliance with security protocols established by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Your Role:

Your role will encompass supporting legacy enterprise applications, developing solutions across all enterprise product domains, addressing urgent HPD needs, and managing special projects.


Your Duties:
  • Developing multi-tier .NET applications.
  • Conducting code reviews and approvals.
  • Maintaining the code repository.
  • Overseeing enterprise application releases.
  • Collaborating with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance professionals, and other Agile team members to create Jira epics, stories, and sprints.
  • Analyzing existing MS Access applications' functionality and database architecture to facilitate their transition to the .NET platform.
  • Providing project documentation and notes.
  • Being prepared to assume additional technical leadership responsibilities as required.

Essential Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft .NET platform, architecture, and industry best practices.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in .NET C# programming, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and JavaScript.
  • At least 4 years of experience in developing WCF Services, WebAPI, and REST API.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with HTML5 and AngularJS.
  • At least 2 years of experience with JQuery, JSON, and XML.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working with Oracle database environments and MS SQL Server 2012 or later.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Access VB Script is advantageous.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to adapt and comprehend business needs.
  • Proven ability to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Experience with automation and application deployment.
