About the Role

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Wexford Health Sources Inc., you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

You will work under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses, directing and guiding patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies. You will also utilize established medical record systems as applicable throughout the scope of duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in assessing the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients in the healthcare unit and housing units.
  • Implement individual treatment programs by utilizing available resources and consulting with registered nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
  • Administer medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
  • Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians.
Requirements
  • A current, unrestricted AZ State Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Salary and Benefits
