Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including ultrasound, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Excellence/Patient Care
- Perform high-quality imaging procedures, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information and imaging results.
- Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to patient safety and radiation exposure.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Departmental Support
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient departmental operations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and policies.
- Education
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.
- Experience
- Clinical experience as a Sonographer is preferred.
- Certifications/Licenses
- Valid ARDMS certification or eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
