Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our team and lead the daily operations of our assigned department, unit, or function. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and families, while also contributing to the strategic growth and success of our organization.

About the Role

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for:

  • Monitors departmental budgets and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Determines and justifies the need for systems, equipment, and supplies; monitors usage and oversees proper working order and stock supplies
  • Assists in developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives that directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization
  • Manages staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management
  • Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, labor utilization, and retention, payroll, and student engagements
  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and evaluates the needs of patients and families
  • Provides patient- and family-centered care and manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing (required)
  • Three years of nursing experience and one year of supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. The physical demands of this role include bending, climbing, keyboard entry, kneeling, lifting or carrying patients 35 pounds or greater, pushing or pulling 0-25 pounds, reaching, repetitive movement of the hand/arm, and standing. The working conditions include exposure to biohazardous waste, biological hazards, blood and/or bodily fluids, communicable diseases, and potential electric shock.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Memorial Healthcare System offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
