Job SummaryThis role is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operating room procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform age-appropriate assessments of patients on arrival to the surgical suite
- Assist with patient care during anesthesia induction and prepare patients for local anesthesia
- Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
- Perform correct surgical preps and accurately document patient care
- Demonstrate competency for all surgical specialties and equipment
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in a hospital setting
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
